Leak Detection & Repair

Burst Pipe or Hidden Leak? We Fix It Fast.

From emergency pipe repairs to advanced ‘Trace & Access’ leak detection. We minimize water damage and get your home dry again.

Stop Water Damage in its Tracks

Water leaks can cause significant structural damage if left untreated. Whether it is a visible spray from a frozen pipe or a mysterious damp patch on your ceiling, you need professional help quickly.

Burst Pipes

Often caused by freezing in winter or corrosion. We isolate the supply and replace the damaged section immediately.

Emergency Repair

Trace & Access

Hidden leak? We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to find leaks under floors or behind walls without ripping your house apart.

Leak Detection

Drips & Overflows

Fixing leaking waste pipes, dripping taps, and weeping joints before they rot your kitchen cupboards or stain your ceilings.

Fast Fixes

Why Choose Us?

We trace leaks efficiently to minimize disruption and cost.

Smart Detection

We use non-invasive methods to trace pipe runs, meaning we don’t lift floors unless absolutely necessary.

Pressure Testing

We rigorously test your system pressure to confirm even the smallest weeps are sealed.

Insurance Ready

We provide detailed invoices and reports that can help with your ‘Trace and Access’ insurance claims.

Fully Stocked

Our vans carry copper pipe, plastic push-fit, and compression fittings to repair leaks on the first visit.

Leak Repair Process

Finding the leak is often harder than fixing it. Our methodical process ensures we get to the root of the problem.

1. Investigation

We listen to your description and check visible signs (damp patches, pressure loss) to locate the source.

2. Isolation

We shut off the water supply to stop further damage. If the stopcock is seized, we can freeze the pipe to work safely.

3. Access & Repair

We carefully expose the pipework and cut out the damaged section, replacing it with new, durable fittings.

4. Dry Test

We turn the water back on and observe the repair under full mains pressure to guarantee it is watertight.

5. Clean Up

We ensure the area is tidy and can advise on dehumidifiers if there is significant water saturation.

Think You Have a Hidden Leak?

If your boiler loses pressure daily or your water meter is spinning when taps are off, call us. Small leaks turn into big structural problems.

Leak Repair FAQs

Most “Buildings Insurance” policies cover **Trace and Access** (the cost of finding the leak and repairing damage to get to it, like lifting floors). They usually cover the water damage caused, but rarely the cost of the actual pipe repair itself. Check your policy wording.

1. Turn off your main stopcock immediately (usually under the kitchen sink).
2. Open all taps to drain the system.
3. Call Dundee Plumbing & Heating on **07507 576 616**.
4. Keep the area as dry as possible with towels.

Yes, although this is more difficult. We can sometimes re-route the pipework above ground to avoid digging up the floor, or use acoustic listening devices to pinpoint the exact breakout point for minimal excavation.

If you have to keep topping up your boiler pressure, you likely have a leak on the central heating loop. It could be a tiny weep on a radiator valve or a leak under the floor. We can investigate and find the source.
